Our goal at AMS Servicing is to help customers who have fallen behind on their mortgage payments to avoid foreclosure. If you are delinquent on your mortgage payments or if you anticipate that you might have problems making your payments in the near future, please contact us as soon as possible to learn about the options available that may help you avoid foreclosure. A dedicated loan counselor can help you assess your current situation and discuss possible solutions.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) sponsors housing counseling agencies designed to help homeowners avoid losing their homes. To obtain a list of HUD-approved counseling agencies, please call (800) 569-4287 or visit www.hud.gov.

Home Learning Center – Operated by the Mortgage Bankers Association, HomeLearningCenter.com provides helpful tips and information for homeowners as well as a Foreclosure Prevention Center for borrowers who may be having difficulty making their mortgage payments.

Housing Help Now – Sponsored by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, HousingHelpNow.com refers borrowers to NFCC-certified credit counselors who can provide guidance about your options and where to turn to for help. Consumers can take the Mortgage Reality Check, an easy-to-take quiz that helps borrowers gain a better understanding of how their mortgage fits their current budget and income.

*AMS is required by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act to inform you that if your loan is currently delinquent or in default, as your loan servicer, we will be attempting to collect on a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose. However, if we have received a discharge, and the loan was not reaffirmed in the bankruptcy case, AMS will exercise its right as against the property and is not attempting to collect the discharged debt from you personally.
